Bequests are the largest source of income for most nonprofit organizations. By including the
Vesalius Trust in your estate, your lifetime of work can continue to support an
important cause for generations to come. If you are creating a will, be sure to name
the Trust as one of your beneficiaries. If you already have a will, you can add an amendment
(called a codicil) without having to change the existing will. See the sample codicil below. It's
also a good idea to notify us of your intentions to include the Trust in your estate plan.
Below is a link to a Letter Of Intent which you can use to notify us. Vesalius Trust Letter of Intent
Friends of the Trust
Many people, including members of the Association of Medical
Illustrators, have made individual contributions to the
Vesalius Trust. Some have made one-time donations and others
have made long-term pledges. Some contributions were made in
honor of recently deceased friends, while others were
earmarked for special purposes. To recognize and encourage these
valued contributors, the Friends of the Trust was
formed.

Cole Memorial Auction The Alan Cole Memorial Auction is the Trust's biggest fund-raising event of the year and is held in conjunction with the annual meeting of the Association of Medical Illustrators. The Auction is named in affectionate honor of Alan Cole, medical illustrator, teacher, friend and former auctioneer. Participation in the Silent and Live Auctions is open to all: illustrator, spouse, client and student alike. There is something for everyone: from rare first-edition medical books to original art, from Craig Gosling's plaster gorilla paws to Russell Drake's pencil box, and from award winning contemporary medical books to limited edition prints by AMI members. Whether you come as a rabid-weasel bidder or a wide-eyed wallet-sitter, the Auction is a roisterous, irreverently good time benefting a good cause.
